The Bankside is 1940's meets the 21st century. It features a raised front teardrop crown and has a hand curled 'tabletop' brim that is 3 1/4" wide. It is luxury at its best in Baileys Polished Elite Stiffened finish. It is finished with a Japanese grosgrain trim and goatskin leather sweatband. The Bankside is fully lined and has an inside loop for hanging. Made in the USA .

Genuine Milan (pronounced Mylan) straw hats were made from hand-braided 
wheat straw, that had been woven for over a century. The high cost of producing 
the Milan braid eventually led to its gradual replacement by synthetic braid. 
These synthetics allow for a more uniform texture and more vivid colors.
